Happy 1st Birthday, Shelby!

One year ago today, we met our sweet Shelby. I will never forget Bucky saying, "It's a girl!" What a sweet sound to a mother's ears. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful, healthy, sweet baby! I cannot believe she is a year old. Shelby has gained more independence in the last month. She is really brave and loves to walk around exploring.

Here are some fun things about Shelby:

~Her favorite place to be is outside, preferably around the dogs

~Shelby usually sleeps from 7:30pm-6:30am.

~She takes a morning and afternoon nap

~She likes her 2 blankets (a swaddle one and a silky one), her passies, and bear that plays 'You are my Sunshine' in her crib.

~She has 2 bottom teeth and I can see the 2 top teeth trying to come through

~She can distinctly say dog, Mama, Dada, and 'ba' which I think is Claire/ball/baby

~She loves to play on the back porch

~She is drink soy and rice milk exclusively out of a sippy cup

~She won't let you rock her anymore and fusses if you try to :(

~She likes to look at books

~She loves to unload the dishwasher and clean out the fridge

~She wears a 9mo or 12mo in clothes

~I think her foot is a size 3 (6-12mo in Pedipeds)

~She wears a size 3 diaper

~She has very sensitive skin

~She likes to hold her baby doll like a real baby and pat her

~She is very good at entertaining herself

~She loves to chase Claire and be silly when Claire gets home from school

~She does not like the church nursery

~She really wants to like our horses but they still scare her a little

~All strangers love to talk and wave to her

~She has only been sick once, with some sort of virus

We go tomorrow for her check-up and shots and Saturday we are having her official party. So, I will post more pictures and her stats.
