Claire is wearing a Christmas dress my Mom made for me when I was about Claire's age. She wore this past Sunday to church. She was more excited about wearing the dress than going to Sunday school (to say the least). Doesn't she look big?
Dedicated to Gran, even though she doesn't read the blog!
Looks a little something like this...Lots of good food prepared with love.Tables set for 8 adults and 5 children.Time with cousins And friends!
Time to cheer on the Auburn Tigers! And, of course, time by the campfire!
We were lucky enough to welcome both sides of our families into our home this week. We are so thankful for so much. Just to list a few; family, friends, health, happiness, our jobs, our homes, and most importantly, our God.
Claire and I just got back from her 18 month well baby check up. It was traumatic to say the least. She normally does really well. She likes the attention and talking to people. NOT this time. She got upset when they first started out weighing her. It was down hill from there. She cried real tears over everything and then started demanding her blanket. It didn't bring it of course. She is so persistent! When Claire realized we had no blanket, she cried for 10-15 minutes. It was bad. She did fine with her shots and fell asleep in the car. Poor thing! I hope she wakes up feeling like herself.
We had a really fun weekend. My mom came Thursday to help me get ready to host a baby shower. My mom and dad are such a huge help. I couldn't make it without them. We had fun spending some low-stress time together. Claire loves Gran and playing with her. Friday night, we went to the last block party. That was fun. Saturday night, our group of friends got together to celebrate the Schumacher's baby girl who is due in January. Sunday, we managed to go to church and leave Claire in the nursery. Nothing too traumatic, but still unpleasant. Sunday afternoon, Bucky joined us at Lily's birthday party. There was a rabbit and lamb, which Claire loved of course. Tomorrow morning, Bucky is leaving for a whole week. He won't be back until Sunday night. I don't know what I am going to do without him. Claire and I watch for him every day. Hopefully, we will make it!
There is a duck pond a few miles from our house. We have been up there a couple of time to feed the ducks. Claire has a great time and loves to quack at them. She loves it until the food runs out...

She kept calling her sucker a fish!
Well, my original plan was for Claire to be an Auburn cheerleader. I wasn't sure if we would even trick-or-treat so I didn't plan an elaborate costume. Plus, I have never really been into Halloween. I know that will have to change over the next couple of years. But, lately Claire has been OBSESSED with Tinkerbell. She got the movie for Christmas but has been watching it non-stop for the last 2 weeks. In fact, it is on now at 6:30am. So after a quick trip to the dollar store and Wal-Mart, we had a Tinkerbell costume. Claire loved wearing it and didn't mind the wings at all. She knew she was Tinkerbell the second she put it on. We had a fun trip and the kids have fun at a Halloween Carnival.

We have been doing some fun Halloween activities lately. Last week, we went to a really fun Halloween Carnival at our friend Jayden and Deanna's house. It was so fun. She really put a lot of time and effort into the whole day. Sunday night, Claire and Daddy carved the pumpkin. It is on our back porch. Claire can see it from her little table so every time she eats, she has to talk about the pumpkin and Daddy. We will be in Tallahassee for Halloween again this year. We leave tomorrow. We are excited to see the Harkins and for Bucky to get some time to ride his horse.
