OCD?

I started to straighten up the house the other day during Claire's nap. This is what I found. Everything out, arranged, and in perfect order. Maybe someone is a little OCD? What do you think? I think it is funny she would rather play with cups and beauty products than toys!

Thank you!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Bucky for planning a special Valentine's/Birthday weekend for me. Saturday, he took me to Montgomery to the Renaissance Hotel. I had a massage, ate a great dinner, and slept great. It was such a nice treat and I really appreciate the thought he put into it. Thank you also to my mom and dad for keeping Claire. What a great way to celebrate my 28th birthday. THANK YOU! I love you!

Snow!

It was so fun to see snow through Claire's eyes! We had some snow last year, but she was too little to know what was happening. This year she kept saying, "snow Mama", "white", and "I like it." Too cute. We were glad Daddy was home to play with us and build a snowman. The horses and dogs sure are glad the snow is gone now!

Valentine's Playgroup

Claire and I went to a fun Valentine's playgroup this morning at Emma and Lauren's house. We had a great turn out despite the chance of snow. Everyone played, ate, and made crafts together. I always try to get a group shot so we can keep up with everyone over the years. In the video, you can see how we kept their attention for a brief moment.

CHEESE!

If you can't tell already, Claire has learned to pose for pictures by saying 'cheese'. It is pretty funny. We were finally able to get out some this week to go to Graham and Jack's birthday party. Claire also went to school for a little while today. Doesn't she look big?

**Thanks for my jumper, Aunt Mindy. It looked so cute on me and I got lots of compliments.

Sick Baby = Sad Mommy

Claire and I had a big weekend planned together. It was my 4-day weekend so we had plans to go to a fun playgroup at Frog Legs and then to Birmingham for a baby shower. Boy did things not go our way. Thursday morning I ended up taking Claire to urgent care. We couldn't get in at our pediatrician until Friday afternoon which was when we were going to Bham. She has had some yellow snot that just wouldn't go away so I thought it was time for an antibiotic. We were there all of 3 minutes. The doctor looked in her ears and down her throat and sent me off with an amoxicillin prescription. We went on about our day and Claire took the medicine like a champ. Well, Thursday night at 11:00pm she woke up vomiting. It was awful. I finally called my normal pediatrician who is the BEST. He talked me through everything, told me what to give her, and said he had seen 5 cases of the same stomach virus earlier that day.
So, plans canceled we stayed at home Friday and rested. Claire seemed fine but had no appetite. Bucky came home from work with a sore throat. He never complains about pain or being sick. But, at 7:00 he decided to go to urgent care and get tested for strep since his sister had it earlier in the week. It was negative but they gave him an antibiotic.
Saturday, Bucky and Claire seemed better. I wasn't feeling great, just mainly tired. I started the amoxicillin back since Claire ate some more. We went to Wal-Mart and that's about it. Then, everything hit again Saturday night. All three of us had the stomach bug. It was rough. Sunday, we all layed around and rested. No appetites still. Claire woke up with some eye gunk. I decided to take today off and get her checked out.
We went to the pediatrician this morning to find out Claire has strep throat, a right ear infection and pink eye. For those of you who know me, I am not happy. Poor Claire. She doesn't feel well at all. She will be staying home this week with me or her grandmothers. Please pray she feels better and that I am doing to right thing by taking her to daycare. I am starting to question myself.
*Above you can see Claire acting like Mommy. She sees me getting dressed every morning and wants to be just like me. She even demands a bra and jewelry.
