Great Friends!

Laura, Megan, Michelle, Elyse, Carla, me, and Lizzy at our Bunco Christmas Party
Nicole, Yucel, Lilianna, Kristi, Carla, Julie, Carmen, Abi, Kym, me, Lindsey, Lane, Deanna, Donna, and Emily and our Christmas MNO

I must admit, after all of my friends graduated from Auburn and left, I thought I would hate living in Auburn. On many occasions, I begged Bucky to move back to Birmingham. He politely refused and basically told me to get over it. Not long after that, I got in touch with a few of my sorority sisters and we decided to start a Bunco group. That was almost 6 years ago. Our Bunco group has grown and changed. We have met new people and added to our own families. Needless to say, without them, I would not feel that same way about Auburn.
Then, Claire and I were introduced to wonderful group of ladies through the EAMC breastfeeding support group. We would meet once a week at the hospital to weigh in and talk about what was going on with our babies. We have stayed together as a toddler group celebrating birthdays and new babies. It is an AMAZING group of mothers who are truly inspiring with their selflessness and nurturing personalities.
I love these two groups of women. Their friendships mean so much to me. I always look forward to my time with them. You each make me a better person, wife, and mother.
Merry Christmas to all my special ladies!

Christmas Preparations

Have Included: Decorating our house and tree.

Making a gingerbread house with Aunt Mindy.

And meeting Santa at our friend's house.

Claire LOVED Santa and asked him very sweetly for a Barbie Jeep.

Avery wasn't too sure.

Natalie surprised her Mom by being a great sport!

Graham crawled right up into his lap.

Waiting for Claire's name to be called. Can you feel the excitement?

Clarie has had a ball getting ready for Christmas. She wants to be right in the middle of the action when it comes to preparations. She has really enjoyed helping me decorate, shop for presents, and wrap presents. I call her my little elf! We went to a very fun playgroup at our friend's house where a special visitor arrived. Claire loved Santa and was not afraid at all. She very specifically wants a 'Princess Barbie Jeep.' We'll have to see! Until then, we are having fun celebrating the season together.

A visit from Aubie

Claire's school had a pep rally on Thursday. Aubie and some cheerleaders came to visit. I was off so I got to go with her. Claire LOVED Aubie and really hammed it up. Some of her friends were afraid of Aubie. Claire was not at all. She wanted to sit in his lap the entire time. She had to wait her turn for other classes to get their pictures made. I am pretty sure I got our Christmas card picture that day but I will wait and see. War Eagle!

Rainbow Row

A few weekends ago, some of my very good friends took a 4-day weekend to Charleston. We had so much fun eating, shopping, and site seeing. Charleston is a beautiful, historic city. It really reminds me of a European city. I enjoyed my little break and getting to see new places!

Halloween Preview

Claire is going to be a princess, of course. She chose Cinderella. Just a preview of everyone's costumes for Sunday night!

Pumpkin Patch- Take 2

We went to Union Springs on Sunday to their excellent pumpkin patch. Claire was a trooper considering we woke her up from a 30min nap in the car. Grandma, Granddaddy, and Mindy joined us too. Claire chose not to get another pumpkin because she said, "we already have one at home."

Pumpkin Patch- Take 1

We went to Jack-o-Lantern Lane last week with our playgroup. Claire eventually woke and had fun. We enjoyed a hayride, feeding some animals, picking out a pumpkin, and a picnic. Needless to say, she took a great nap!

Baby Street

We are so excited to be expecting our second baby. Our due date is April 4, 2011. The ultrasound today looked great! Everything is growing and developing like it should be. We feel incredibly blessed. We (mainly me) have chosen not to find out the gender until he/she arrives. I am fully confident that God will give us whatever we need to complete our family! God is so good!
