Fun Night!

Saturday night, Bucky's good friend Justin came to Auburn for a visit. Bucky and Justin met in college and graduated from Building Science together. Justin was in our wedding too. He worked for a while in Columbus, GA before deciding to join the army. Justin has really shown dedication to serving his country. He quickly became a Green Bureau which is a huge accomplishment. He left Sunday to train to become a sniper. He is truly one of Bucky's best friends and we are always happy to see him. Mindy came with us and we all went out in down town Auburn. It was a fun and rare night for us. Thanks for coming to see us Justin. Hope you will become a blog reader now! Good luck with training.

Happy Birthday Natalie!

Claire's best friend, Natalie, turned 2 on March 9th. We helped her celebrate today at her Music/Minnie Mouse birthday party. It is was so much fun. Claire really enjoyed the hot pink cupcakes. It has been great to watch these girls and all of our little group grow up over the past year. A lot happen from 1 to 2 years old. We now have toddlers with personalities and minds of their own. We are so lucky to know Natalie, Carla, and Ryan.

Thank goodness for good weather, a nice playground, and cousins to play with. Claire and I enjoyed our trip to Bham. My sister came up Friday with her kids so all FIVE cousins were together. It is so fun, but a bit chaotic. We took advantage of the playground behind Green Valley Elementary School. We went Thursday and Friday afternoon. Gran and PePaw did a great job keeping up with all of their grand kids. It sure did help to get some energy out and play without boundaries. We wish we could do it more often with all the kids.

Spring is in the air!

We are getting ready for spring around here. Besides the warmer weather, we can't wait for Easter and Claire's 2nd birthday. Claire had so much fun getting out Easter decorations this weekend. Mindy even decorated her little Christmas tree with Easter eggs and bunnies. Claire thinks it is 'so pretty.' We went to church this morning with no problems. That was wonderful. Also, notice Claire's beautiful dress that Gran got for her. I think it matches her eyes! I am working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week and then Claire and I are headed to Birmingham until Saturday. So, probably no more post until we get home. Hope everyone has a great week and gets a little spring fever!

We had a great Saturday with the whole Street family. Grandma and Granddaddy came down for the day to see Claire and Mindy. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and took Claire fishing for the first time. She was a trooper. Mindy caught a big catfish with her first cast. Granddaddy caught a couple of brim in between naps. Bucky and I just got some nibbles. Claire thought the worms and fish were interesting but gross. She wasn't afraid to touch them though. Claire brings so much joy to us and our family. We love to experience new things and see them through her innocent eyes. We can't wait to do more fun stuff outside now that it is warming up! We are so blessed by our families and how much they adore Claire. Thanks for a special day!

Sunshine

We have been talking about the sunshine coming out since it has been so dreary lately. Claire wakes up and asks "sunshine come out?" almost every day. Here she is looking out the window for the sunshine. She is our shining ray of sunshine even on the cloudiest days!
